The following are excerpts from the daily announcements during the SCIENCE TEAM administration. These excerpts are all the official documentation that remains of this time period. Everything else was destroyed in the "Big Mistake".
From 1/1/271 to 2/19/271
Our leader, the great Dr. Charlie72 Zonbasen, has taken of as official overseer. Now this fortress can finally get on the path of defeating THE HUNTERS and bringing Dwarfdom into a golden age!
Today, FrickenMoron made a inspirational figurine of our triumphs over THE HUNTERS.
We need a paramedic to take car of Frebreezeninja. He keeps tring to do his job even though he is too injured to do so.
We also need one for Daynad, as well as a psychologist. Daynad keeps calming to be a Militia captain, when he clearly is not.
DAAM U seems to be causing Dwarves to form strange relationships with their weapons. We'll try and fix that in the next version.
We have cleared an area to begin work on PROJECT D. Boing and her squad have been assigned to guard the contortion site.
Today, a thief was spotted in our fortress.
At first, the first responding dwarf, Knocknees, seemed to have trouble with this tiny foe.
But that was quickly rectified and the kobold's gear was sent to be reverse-engineered.
Today, Krysphoenix spawned Random Person. May he be as expendable as his name suggests.

Yes, we are now aware that the lower levels are flooding. Yes, we are trying to fix it.
Yes, we are aware that the hospital is flooding. We were trying find the lever to stop the flooding on the lower levels.
Two dwarves gave their lives to stop the hospital flooding, and sadly we weren't able to recover there bodies.
We've decided to screw the levers and try to make a tube to send the water back to a pool.
Whoever was taking care of Anaxite is having his or her pay and rations docked for 12 deca-cycles.
After several tries, we where finally able to divert the stream. Unfortunately, Vaga42Bond was MIA when the passage was sealed with flood gates.
Hopefully, the flood will die down soon
Project D is still making progress.

Nope, I missed covering one of the staircases in the crocodile pit. One that leads directly to the forges and the tombs. This was completely unintentional.
Yeah I this is what I kept alluding to after checking the save - I only knew about that staircase myself because the dwarves all used it when they went outside for the bath, but as soon as I looked at the design for the aquarium I guessed he would have missed it.
There's a few other things (though not quite as big as the flood which is actually far more catastrophic than I expected) which mean I would like to inaugurate the Vile Award for Oversight!
It's an award that has a pun!
